Our Mission
At Fresh Focus Psychiatric Services, we are dedicated to providing evidence-based treatment of mental health conditions. We offer a range of services, including psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, psychopharmacologic medication management, and individual psychotherapy. Additionally, we treat a variety of concerns, including bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD/trauma, ADHD, and more. Offering both in-office and telemedicine options, we can work together to create a treatment plan that best suits your needs.
Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluations
During your initial intake appointment, your psychiatrist will conduct a thorough evaluation. The purpose of this evaluation is to determine the best course of action for your treatment plan. The need for medication management and individual psychotherapy, together or alone, varies between individuals. Having performed a comprehensive assessment allows us to provide you with the best possible care.
Medication Management
Your evaluation may indicate that medication could offer relief of your symptoms. If medication is indicated, your psychiatrist will discuss possible options with you, exploring potential benefits, side effects, and alternative treatment options. Our intention is to do so in a way that allows you to have confidence in and understanding of the choices you make in determining the course of your treatment plan.
Individual Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is often utilized alone or in conjunction with medication management. Through psychotherapy, patients can work to develop more positive coping straegies and gain insight into maladaptive thought patterns. Our psychiatrist is trained in principles of cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Additionally, we intend to respect your existing relationship with your therapist or counselor, offering supportive therapy that allows for improved emotional well-being without impairing your therapeutic alliance.
What To Expect At Your Visit
During your initial intake appointment, you will be evaluated by a board-certified psychiatrist. Your initial assessment may require anywhere from 50 to 120 minutes and may be split over multiple appointments. We will explore your concerns as well as your prior medical and psychiatric history to develop a treatment plan that allows you to reach your mental health goals.
